Roadshow of education events for technicians in 2017

Kicking off in February 2017 will be a host of educational events for technicians around Australia. Standards Australia and ARC Members AIRAH will present a 'roadshow' seminar series around Australia on the recently adopted refrigeration safety and environmental standards. A "Future Gas" evening will also be held in NSW on low GWP refrigerants and how to transition safely.

Refrigeration Standards Update

These seminars will provide an introduction and overview to the main changes affecting the HVAC&R industry. The seminars will be run by Standards Australia and AIRAH, and will be presented by Kevin Lee, former Chairman of the ARC and former Chair of Standards Australia technical committee on refrigeration safety requirements.

Future Gas Info Night - transition to low GWP refrigerants

A “Future Gas” evening will be held at Club Condell Park, Bankstown NSW on Thursday, 23 Feb 2017. The evening will talk about all low global warming potential (GWP) refrigerants and how to transition safely, from a stationary RAC perspective.

Topics covered will include:

  • regulatory overview
  • safe transition
  • recovery and trends
  • contractors viewpoint
